You have a calling

Dear brothers and sisters,

 

For those who don't know me, my name is FONG Chui Ying (Rachel) and I was 01FA. After HKCEE, I went to LPC United World College of HK. After that, I came to Middlebury College in Vermont, USA, (although it is called "college", it is actually a university) to pursue a Neuroscience degree.

 

The past 5 days, I attend a mission conference called Urbana 06 organized by Intervarsity Christian Fellowship USA/Canada. (www.urbana.org) I saw the church in the convention center, and I saw (and see) God's kingdom on earth!!! There were 22,000 people (mostly students) from over 140 countries worshipping God together in many languages and forms, like singing, dancing, theater, video, praying.... because of God, we gathered; because of God, we are ONE church and ONE body!!!!

 

The theme of this conference is "You Have a Calling" based on Ephesians. I have found my calling: I am applying to medical schools in HK right now. I hope one day I will be able to do some mission work using my medical skills.

 

Brothers and sisters, YOU have a calling too. Live is out!!! It can be teaching, accounting, studying, being a good husbband/wife, hanging out with friends and families. LIVE out your calling because the GOSPEL is worth it. Amen?
